We spend much of our adult lives looking for purpose. We're grasping for something that will give our existence on earth meaning. Some of us have yet to discover that the fancy cars, the houses, etc, will not be accompanying us to our final destinations. I heard someone put it this way: "I've never seen a U-haul van at a funeral before." Was eternity meant to be an unsolved mystery? Can knowing the end help us to live with more purpose?

I just recently visited a mummy exhibit in which real mummies were actually on display. After the tour, I realized just how fixated the ancient Egyptians seemed to be on death (or life after death). I asked myself some questions: Like, why eternity was so much apart of the Egyptian culture? What led to their certainty? Can we have that assurance today?
